NFRA is pleased to once again offer Speed Meetings at this year’s NFRA Convention in Orlando, FL.

If you haven’t participated in Speed Meetings before, this is your chance to connect with emerging brands and companies you may not otherwise see in your day-to-day operations!

Registration Form

We will host three sessions, and you can choose to participate in one or more:

  • Monday, October 20 · 10:00 am – 11:30 am
  • Monday, October 20 · 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, October 21 · 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

Once you choose a session, please block out that time on your calendar and do not schedule other meetings over that time. You will report to a different room for the Speed Meetings, as all Speed Meetings are held in one room.

Meeting Format

  • Meetings will be offered to small manufacturers and new NFRA members that may not have any meetings scheduled or are having trouble obtaining appointments on their own.
  • Meetings will be scheduled online by the manufacturers prior to the Convention, and you will have the opportunity to review them. However, the spirit of the Speed Meetings is to accept the meetings that are requested.
  • Retailers will all sit in one large room with enough space between tables to allow for confidential conversations.
  • Meetings will be six (6) minutes long and manufacturers will be asked to come prepared with appropriate meeting materials. NFRA will continue to work to streamline guidelines with participating manufacturers so the information you receive is relevant and concise.
  • NFRA will manage the meeting rotation.
  • The idea is to create a meet and greet opportunity for the sharing of company information and items/brands, setting up follow-up meeting opportunities, etc. Sampling is not involved.

Timeline

  • Manufacturers will be notified about Speed Meetings in June and have a set time to log in and rank their preferred meetings.
  • Retailers will have time to review these requests.
  • After this review, the Speed Meeting system will auto-assign appointments based on the rankings.
  • Schedules will be released to both parties in September.
  • Meetings will take place at the NFRA Convention in October during the session you signed up for.
